Jones Lake State Park to host Easter egg hunt

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Jones Lake State Park will host a big Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 30, according to whiteville.com

There will be games, kids activities, a corn hole tournament and prize eggs for each age group from 6 to 12-years-old, according to the site.

The event is free and open to the public; however, pre-registration ended on Saturday, March 23.

Church groups donate supplies, uniforms to school

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A local church recently helped out by donating composition books to Elizabethtown Middle School, according to the Bladen County Schools website.

Rev. Jimmy McKoy and the congregation at St. John's AME Zion Church in Elizabethtown are behind the donation, and the mission group "Isaiah 6:8" from Bladenboro Baptist Church donated school uniforms to several students.
