BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The Bladen County Board of Commissioners will meet on Monday, Dec. 19.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Assembly Room of the Bladen County Courthouse.

The meeting is open to the public.

No action taken about purchase of Bay Tree Water System

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) – No official action was taken during Monday night’s hearing about the purchase of the Bay Tree Water System.

According to Commissioner Jimmy Smith, the Board will likely vote on the issue at the next commissioner’s meeting, which will be held on Dec. 5 at 6:30 p.m.

Public hearing planned to discuss purchasing Bay Tree Water System

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The Bladen County Commissioners will meet on Monday, Nov. 21 at 6:30 p.m.

A public hearing is scheduled to receive comments about the proposed purchase of the Bay Tree Water System, according to the meeting’s agenda.

Sheriff Jewell Smith is also expected to be recognized for his 25 years of service.

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The Bladen County Board of Elections canvassed the recent election results Tuesday and made no changes, according to Bladen Online.

All of the winners in the municipal elections have been certified. They will reportedly take their oath of office at their first regular meeting of their respective board.

Almost 500 cast their vote early in Bladen County

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Early voting was open from Thursday, Oct. 20 to Saturday, Nov. 5 and almost 500 people took advantage of it in Bladen County.

According to Board of Elections officials, 493 citizens voted in the county.

Bladen Commissioners to meet Monday, 6:30 p.m.

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The Bladen County Board of Commissioners will meet on Monday, Nov. 7 at 6:30 p.m.

Here are some items of interest from the agenda:

  • Recognize Randy Garner for 20 years of service at the Water Department
  • Consider approving resolution establishing revised election districts for Bladen County
  • Consider approving resolution to merge the Beacon Center, Eastpointe and Southeastern Regional local management entities
  • Consider EMS Medical Director agreement with Cape Fear Valley Health System and modification to Bladen County EMS system plan regarding the addition and deletion of EMS Medical Director

Last chance to vote early is Saturday in Bladen Co.

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) – One-stop voting ends on Saturday, Nov. 5 in Bladen County.

Residents may vote between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Bladen County Library, located at 111 N. Cypress St. in Elizabethtown.

You will stay have on more opportunity to vote for your favorite candidates on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8.
