BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Authorities have made three arrests in connection to two shootings that took place last month.
Titus Jonathan Coston, 23, of the 800 block of Nobie Street in Elizabethtown has been charged with shooting a 15-year-old during a drive-by that took place on Mercer Mill Road between Elizabethtown and Clarkton the night of Oct. 24, according to Captain Rodney Hester with the Bladen County Sheriff's Office.
Titus also faces charges in connection to a drive-by shooting that took place Oct. 25 on Frank Melvin Road. No one was injured in the shooting, but there were small children at the home when it took place.
Additionally, Titus' brother, 20-year-old Elijah David Coston, of the 500 block of Glenwood Drive and 23-year-old Jamie Tyrell Cotton, of the 80 block of Robinson Temple Church Road, were also charged in connection to the drive-by shooting on Frank Melvin Road.
Titus Coston has been charged with nine counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied property, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and one count of resisting arrest. His bond has been set at just over $3 million.
When authorities went to Titus' home Oct. 26, he tried to elude arrest by fleeing on foot, but was subsequently captured and put in the Bladen County Jail.
Both Elijah Coston and Cotton have been charged with seven counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of discharging a weapon into an occupied property.
Elijah's bond is set at $1,002,500 while Cotton's is $1 million.
The victim in the shooting on Mercer Mill Road, who was shot in the thigh area, is still recovering.
