BLADENBORO, NC (WECT) - The town of Bladenboro is getting hundreds of thousands of dollars to help develop a new park.
Governor Bev Perdue announced Monday that six governments across the state would receive money from the NC Parks and Recreation Trust Fund.
Bladenboro will get $213,000 to help pay for the Clarence McLean Park on JR Britt Road off Highway 211 near the Bladenboro Industrial Park.
According to the website BladenOnline, plans for the park include a walking trail, baseball fields, soccer/football field, concession stand, picnic shelter, fishing pier, batting cages and a children's play area.
