BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Officers with the Bladenboro Police Department have charged a man in connection to animal cruelty.
Officials say Kenneth Williams was served November 28 and is expected to be in court December 6.
Williams is accused of abandoning two dogs at a home in Bladenboro. When Animal Control discovered the animals, one was already dead and the other was malnourished and showed signs of abuse.
The shelter believes the rescued puppy, who they named Rider, was poisoned and is now deaf and suffers from a neurological problem.
Rider was taken to Elizabethtown Veterinary Hospital and is in need of a good home.
