BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) — The manager of the Elizabethtown McDonald's was taken into custody and charged with breaking and entering, according to Captain Rodney Hester with the Bladen County Sheriff's Office.

Lauren Nicole Hooks, 28, of Beulah Church Road in Lumberton, reportedly still had a key to the grill and the code to the alarm of her former employer, 41 Grocery & Grill. Hester said that the break-in occured around 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 1 at the business, located at 9068 N.C. Hwy. 41 in Bladenboro.

Cash and lottery tickets were reported missing from her former employer after the store's video system showed Hooks inside the business.

She was also charged with larceny after breaking and entering and booked under a $3,000 secured bond. Hooks has since been released on bond.
