Undercover drug operation involving painkillers leads to man’s arrest

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested a man on several drug-related charges, according a press release from Captain Rodney Hester.

Tristan McRae Singletary, 29, was arrested July 3 following an undercover operation. Authorities say a highly-addictive pain medication, called Opana, was bought from Singletary at his home in the 50 block of Cindy Lane in Bladenboro.

The operation was sparked by complaints that prescription painkillers were being sold at Singletary’s home.

As a result, Singletary was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance; manufacturing a schedule II controlled substance; maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of keeping or selling a controlled substance; selling a schedule II controlled substance; delivering a schedule II controlled substance.

His bond has been set at $75,000.
